When You Need to Temporarily Convert Space into a Meeting Room

Factory floors, warehouses, cafeterias and atrium lobbies are “challenging” rooms to flip into temporary meeting rooms.  Large, bright video displays and special PA systems that improve voice intelligibility are common requirements needed to combat uncontrollable ambient lighting and poor acoustics in these types of spaces.

For audio needs, a basic traditional PA may be sufficient.  In factory spaces, warehouses, large cafeterias and lobbies where acoustics are horrible and you have high ambient noise that cannot be controlled, you may need a column array or for extra large meetings, a line array PA system.

Wireless microphones are typically used for presenters and for audience question & answer.

PTZ Cameras

Another challenge at "group participation" meetings is helping people feel comfortable. Being on camera can make them nervous and feel as though they can't talk freely.

Our portable remote-controlled unobtrusive PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras are remotely controlled from behind the scenes so people aren't aware of the cameras and can talk freely without being nervous.

Permanent Audio-Visual Installations for All-Hands/Town Hall Meeting Spaces

Now that you’ve proven how successful and beneficial All-Hands meetings are for your organization, you may want to make the audio-visual installation permanent. You've seen that the meetings are good for morale, company culture, goals, and productivity.

You decide to outfit your meeting space with a permanent PA system. That may be all you need if you have closed meetings only for in-house staff.

In fact it’s sometimes good to start small with just a permanent PA system and a wireless microphone or two to get the ball rolling.

Like many, PowerPoint content is popular to display some basic KPIs to let your team know how they are doing.  Or to quickly review the website or watch a video message.

Video displays and video conferencing systems are easy additions to a basic permanent PA system.

If your company has multiple locations, your CEO and executive management may decide it’s now time to invest in a more robust system to include everyone at those other locations in the same meeting.

Upgrading a room to include Zoom calls or Microsoft Teams capability is a common next step.

Francis Audio-Visual has the experience, equipment & expertise needed for a successful implementation
