Typically attendees are seated at a conference table, U-shaped seating, or a hollow rectangle. Group sizes are usually less than 12 people but can range as high as 20-30 people. For smaller groups, a PA system is often not required. If a room has good acoustics, boundary mics are often the microphone of choice as you only need one for every 6-8 people.

Small Group "Guest Presenter" Audio-Video Recording Package (for 10 - 50 people)
For a small group (10-50) of people that has a guest presenter. If the group is small enough, you may not even need a PA system.
